Comic book month is coming!

by ParentCo. March 24, 2015

Along with our normal content, next month Parent Co. is publishing a special series dedicated to comic books for kids. When we say comics, we're talking about the combination of illustration and text that tells a story panel-by-panel. That classic formula has a growing audience at all ages, as it evolves on the web, in apps, and in new forms of print. These modern comics often feature nuanced, layered stories and compelling characters along with action and jokes. Kids love them. They also love to making their own comic books at home. Our April comic series will include:
  • activities for kids to make their own comic books (print and digital)
  • tips for using comics to spark learning and creativity
  • comic book recommendations for kids (and grownups)
  • interviews with favorite comic book artists and writers
  • special comic book related giveaways
We're posting this now so you can send in your recommendations for great comics, comic book creators and comic book-related activities. Email me at edward @ parent.co or reach us on our contact page. Aw yeah!
